Secondment for 12 Months - Full Time / Flexible
Senior Clinical Fellow posts offer previous FMLM National/Regional Clinical Fellows the opportunity to develop their skills in leadership, management, strategy and project management outside of their normal clinical practice and to develop understanding of systems working.
During the Fellowship you will have the opportunity to acquire, develop and share knowledge and skills in leadership and will be challenged to think and behave differently in your leadership roles. You will work closely with the executive team to work on and lead projects across various areas and disciplines that aim to deliver on the MSE ICS strategy.
With support from senior colleagues, you will:
Lead projects ensuring appropriate planning, engagement and communication. Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and within multi professional teams. Appraise complex information and produce reports of high qualityWhilst some projects will have long timelines some projects may require a rapid turnaround.

Each fellow will have a named Executive Mentor, depending on their specific requirements and areas of work.
Fellows will join the Leading Better Together: System Clinical Leaders development programme which is a multi-professional leadership development programme which runs throughout the year and provides education, networking, and a collaborative sharing and learning forum.
Main duties of the job
Applications are open from doctors, pharmacists, dentists (any of whom must have completed foundation training or equivalent), nurses, midwives, healthcare scientists or allied health care professionals. Public health specialty trainees from a background other than medicine must be on the UK public health specialty training scheme and enrolled with the Faculty of Public Health. At the time of starting the post you must have completed one of the FMLM Clinical Fellow schemes

We are looking for someone with the following skills:
Ability to appraise new information quickly. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to express your perspective and opinions whilst providing critical challenge clearly and respectfully. Ability to work within a wide range of environments, quickly building rapport and establishing good working relationships with colleagues from different professional and personal backgrounds. Ability to think creatively about different solutions to problems, using healthcare literature to provide an evidence base, and to write formal reports.You must be able to travel across various sites in Mid and South Essex where applicable.

Mid and South Essex ICB is a statutory organisation responsible for the planning and delivery of local health and care services, across Mid and South Essex and is part of the wider integrated care system. Job responsibilities
The Clinical Fellow/s will work closely with the executive team to work on and lead projects across various areas and disciplines that aim to deliver on the MSE ICS strategy.

Working with the Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director to develop MSE HCPs flagship Stewardship programme, with six pilot services developing a clinically-led, population health based, integrated approach to stewarding our Partnerships resources within their service. Leading a project to establish a system-wide Fracture Liaison Service to increase access to services and improve health outcomes for patients across the system. Leading a project that aims to increase access, education and training in, and adoption of, genomics in the care pathway to support the personalised care and shared decision making agenda. From inception, developing the process and governance for the Clinical and Multi-professional Congress (a multi-professional group who provide expert opinion and support the ICS board in their decision making). This has included developing a methodology for the congress to analyse and evaluate transformational change projects and developing a process for congress to review current funding policies in the system. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the system to identify and drive change and improvement to result in equitable access to care and improved outcomes for those at risk of experiencing inequalities. Aligning local, regional and national priorities, working within inequalities has required system approach and brings together aspects such as Population Health Management, Prevention and Personalised Care. Providing clinical leadership to our Womens Health workstream, working with system partners to shape provision and implementation of MSEs Womens Health Strategy and Womens Health Hubs Developing a system wide strategy for development of the Primary/Secondary Care interface; providing clinical leadership for stakeholder workshops and working with NHSE to identify issues and seek improvements at a national level Person Specification

Doctor, Pharmacist, Dentist, Nurse, Midwife, Healthcare Scientist, Allied Health Care Professional with full registration. Public Health speciality trainees other than medicine must be on the UK public health speciality training scheme and enrolled with the Faculty of Public Health Must have completed one of the FMLM Clinical Fellow schemes
