What youlldo
As a Software Engineer you willdesign code test and debug endtoend data driven webbased softwareapplications. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams; ITinfrastructure lab automation wet and dry lab scientists acrossdifferent therapeutic areas mostly BE. You will recommend softwareengineering best practice for building MVPs (Minimum ViableProducts) interacting with large codebase legacy and vendorapplications. You will build MVP and contribute to large codebaseboth legacy and vendor system. You will understand BE drugdiscovery business process and data captureprocess.
Essential for therole
- Bachelors degreein computer science software engineering or related field of studysoftware engineering experience preferable in a data focusenvironment.
- Strong problemsolving andanalytical skills.
- Strong understanding ofdata structure and algorithm.
- Proficient withObject oriented paradigm and programming languages preferablyPython and understanding of Python libraries for datascience.
- Understanding of software engineeringbest practice architecture pattern; monolithic and microservice andagile software development techniques with testdriven development(TDD)
- Experience working independently tobuild MVP software applications and some familiarity contributingto large codebase.
- Understanding of datapipeline and ETL process.
- Familiarity withdifferent tools and cloud service for data enabling applicationdevelopment.
Desirablefor the role
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent in data scienceArtificial intelligence machine learning field of study
- Experience with frontend development with JavaScriptprogramming language and frontend framework preferablyReact.
- Experience with Continuous Integrationand Continuous Development (CI/CD)pipeline.
