Teaching Personnel have been approached by the Head Teacher of an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary School located in Burnley, BB11. The classes in this Primary School are average-sized and the children who attend, come from a variety of backgrounds. They are looking to appoint an engaging and positive practitioner to provide general, full-time support within Key Stage 2.

The Headteacher is keen to secure a committed teaching assistant to join their hardworking team to work alongside the class teacher in a Year 4 or Year 5 Class. The successful candidate would be supporting children within the classroom who are working below age related expectations. The role would include leading small group interventions sessions throughout the week which focus on maths, reading and writing.

Key Criteria:

-          Recent classroom-based experience is essential

-          Experience leading small group intervention is desirable

-          Level 2 or above qualification

-          Ability to work independently or part of a team

-          Superb behaviour management

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 per hour

Start date: September 2024

End date: July 2025
