We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Controller to join a busy Credit Control team at Zenith. This is a fast paced, agile and evolving role within a successful business area with a culture focussed on customer satisfaction and positive outcomes.
Your Role
- Be the first point of contact for customers via email and phones
- Manage personal workload and time effectively whilst working to strict deadlines to collect customer invoices as soon as possible
- Ensure customers in arrears are managed in accordance with set policy and strategies, ensuring compliance to FCA requirements
- Ensure information sources and accurate records of conversations and correspondence, including the updating of systems, are always maintained
- Discuss forbearance / payment plan options for customers experiencing financial difficulty
- Work with customers to assess affordability of forbearance solutions through a formal assessment of customer income and expenses
- Refer customers to appropriate consumer credit counselling agencies when further support is required
- Proactively liaise with other teams in the department to ensure the smooth running of all accounts
- Manage action schedule on Credit Manager to clear all tasks due each day
- Comply with all relevant legislation such as the Data Protection Act, Consumer Credit Act, FCA Regulations, Money Laundering Act and any Legal/Insolvency procedures. Compliance with the Direct Debit Rules
- Work with third party suppliers to provide key services to customers
- Ensure accuracy of data and compliance to operating procedures whilst adhering to KPI and maintaining customer satisfaction levels all within contractual obligations
Skills & Experience
Critical to the success of the role is a good eye for detail with strong IT, personal time management and organisation skills. The role also requires:
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisation and multi-tasking skills
- Competent with MS Office systems
- Resilient and able to work under pressure to meet deadline
