About the Role

Mattishall Surgery has an excellent opportunity for a salaried GP to join their friendly, high achieving and supportive practice, on a fixed term basis (maternity cover) for one year, commencing August 2024. The post-holder will cover6 sessions a week and we are happy to consider both experienced and newly qualified GPs. We are looking for a confident, highly motivated, caring and committed GP to join our team. This is a superb opportunity to build a portfolio career, hence an interest in minor ops, joint injections will be desirable but not essential.

Our offer:

Salaried GP, fixed term for 12 months – maternity cover 6 sessions a week Competitive salary and package-depending on experience 6 weeks annual leave and 1-week CPD pro-rata We are happy to consider both experienced and newly qualified GPs. Indemnity costs covered.

The post holder in support of the GP partners will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards for all registered and temporary patients. The appointee will also have the opportunity to take part in leading on key disease areas (monitoring trends in treatment, staff training and prescribing) and assist in developing appropriate healthcare services for a diverse patient list (QOF, patient participation and health promotion.

About the Candidate MBBS or equivalent medical degree Full registration with GMC Certification of Completion of training (JCPTGP/PMETB Inclusion on Performers List Evidence of commitment to on-going personal & professional development Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both written and verbally Good organisational skills Time management skills Able to work under pressure Working on own initiative IT skills (including word processing and database work) as relevant to general practice Committed to quality and patient satisfaction Team worker Committed to work as part of a multidisciplinary, multi-agency primary care team Openness to explore alternative working practices. About Us Mattishall & Lenwade Surgeries is a General Practice located in Mattishall Norfolk approximately 12 miles southwest of the city of Norwich (20 mins drive): providing primary care services to approximately 8600+ registered patients.

A branch surgery is located at Lenwade approximately 7 miles north of Mattishall.
