Position Overview: We are seeking new dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to provide invaluable support to students within schools and educational settings in the area. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting students with their learning and personal development, enabling them to overcome barriers to education and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, some who may have SEN.
  • Assist students with their academic tasks, including reading, writing, and numeracy, adapting teaching materials and resources as necessary.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities, promoting their independence and confidence.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional well-being and providing encouragement and motivation.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other professionals to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
