  • Anexciting opportunity has arisen for a fulltime hybrid post for aDoLS Referral Officer to join our Deprivation of Liberty SafeguardsTeam (DoLS) in Slough Council. You will be part of running theservice day to day supporting the DoLS service s improvement anddevelopment. We are a newly formed highly motivated team who arevery supportive of eachother.
  • Twodays in SloughOffices.


Proficient in MS Office i.e. able to use most of the systemsfunctions without assistance. Utilizes information andcommunications technology to access and communicate informationAbility to create letters, emails, presentations and documentscompetently. Numeracy works accurately with figures, e.g. calculate%, cross checking data. Attention to detail and accuracy. Displaysaccurate keyboard skills, rapid data input. Communicateseffectively with people at different levels using all accesschannels. Good organizational skills. Work effectively underpressure in a busy, diverse and demanding work environment.Well-developed listening skills and the ability to assimilateinformation. Proven ability in capturing, storing and accuratelyretrieving information to meet service needs. Tact, diplomacy,confidentiality and sensitivity. Able to work without supervisionusing own initiative. Ability to create and maintain spreadsheetsand database formats. A sound understanding of the administrationprocess of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and legal requirementsof the supervisory body. Basic understanding of the principles ofthe Mental Capacity 2005. Previous experience of providinginformation and advice to the public and / or customers. Previousexperience in office administration. Experience of working withinthe framework of Mental Capacity 2005 and Deprivation of LibertySafeguards. The ability to prioritize incoming work and escalateconcerns when required. Ability to work independently as requiredin day-to-day activities of the role.
