Pret Multi Site Manager

Purpose and objectives of the role - 
As a Multi-Site Manager you will be responsible for all Pret stores and their successful day to day operations. This role is a very hands-on and you will spend the majority of your time in the stores coaching and training, supporting the store management teams and ultimately driving our franchise growth and performance.

Drive my succession - 

·       To support recruitment and successful onboarding within my area, ensuring new employees feel welcomed and that they meet business needs

·       To build robust family trees in my area through strategic succession planning, ensuring succession planning is in place for every manager

·       To drive team culture and engagement by role modelling Iceking’s Values and by bringing Joy of Pret and fun to my team and customers

·       To ensure in-shop training across my area, legal compliance training and graduations are carried out following the agreed standards and guidelines and at the right time

·       To ensure effective review discussions take place to help make decisions between manager moves, promotions and pay reviews, as well as clear feedback on performance and behaviours, and a developmental PDP. This will ensure I have the right managers in the right place

Delicious Food & Drink

·       To ensure my area consistently delivers delicious food by following the 6 Key Points of Production

·       To ensure the 11 Steps Production Process are always followed to guarantee our customer safety and that each product is accurately made and labelled across my area

·       To ensure the management team understand and follow the Production Principles putting the customers’ needs first and never compromising on quality or freshness

·       To ensure the food range matches the customer demand in my area

·       To continually develop my team’s knowledge about the quality of our food and coffee

·       To ensure merchandising is always done in the right way on the right day and that you follow-up on all product launches with feedback to food team where necessary

·       To ensure Barista Prepared Drinks are made by trained employees consistently, and to the highest standard across my area

·       To ensure no Made to Sell (MTS) rejects are on display in our langars

Well Loved Shop

·       To make sure Food Safety and H&S Standards are consistently followed to maintain the safety of the team and customers

·       To coach my team on standards, safety and equipment use, sharing tools, expertise and clear cascades where relevant

·       To take corrective action immediately on issues that affect customers, the team or sales

·       To ensure my management team follow the Managing By Walking Around (MBWA) principles, proactively monitoring Pret Standards and seeing the shop through the customer’s eyes

·       To ensure corrective training and coaching takes place to address any issues identified, including safety concerns

·       To ensure maintenance issues or refurbishments in my area are not impacting on sales, and any capital spent on the shops takes into account operational needs

·       I own my NSOs from start to finish

Shop Profitability

·       To drive sales and profit through the Big 4 (Forecasting, Rota, Ordering & Production)

·       To ensure my management team accurately forecast for peak trading periods, events and seaasonal changes throughout the year.

·       To ensure there is always a plan B in place to maximise profit

·       To ensure my management team maximise labour efficiency considering customers, team and business needs and ensuring that rotas are displayed at least 4 weeks in advance

·       To continuously analyse and review my areas results, proactively reacting to any challenges or obstacles and creating a clear action plan to improve business profitability

·       To analyse stock take results, taking control of any issues by following the 7 Steps of Unaccounted

·       To have full P&L accountability and to monitor operating costs so, they are in line with the operational budget

·       To ensure Iceking’s Financial Standards are followed at all times to minimise risk and ensure the safety of my team

Growing Sales

·       To review Coffee Manning, Till Manning, Hot Food plan or any other relevant report to maximise opportunities to increase sales in your area

·       To always follow merchandising guidelines and to ensure marketing is used effectively to drive sales across your area

·       To maximise and promote Catering opportunities

·       To keep abreast of competitors initiatives, trading performance, opening hours and develop plans to counter their impact and drive sales

·       I ensure local events are supported by appropriate marketing

Drive and Embed Change - 

·       To be the Ambassador of Change; effectively communicating the change framework and cascades, through staff meetings and effective and planned 121s

·       To drive and embed change, encouraging two way communication with my team, checking for understanding, asking for feedback and listening to their ideas

·       Positively promote Pret, protecting our business integrity and escalating any causes of concern relating to the area

·       To actively follow up with the team with any new standard or initiative to ensure this is successfully implemented and embedded in the shop

·       To ensure I meet deadlines for projects that drive change, recognising the impact if it is not complete to time

·       To conduct regular shop reviews and by using Ops Management By Walking Around (MBWA) to show what is great and what needs attention

·       I ensure my management team see the shop through the customers eyes and engage their customers with relevant changes

·       To ensure I drive positive relationships between shops and Iceking and Pret Franchisor meeting deadlines and being a role model of our Values and Behaviours
