Reporting to: Section Team leader
Location: Leicester - great location Meridian Business Park, LE19 1WH
Shift : AM Shift 6 am to pm Monday to Thursday and Friday early finsih am.
Package: Competititve basic salary and shift allowances + package including excellent pension
package and lfie assurance
Born from many well-known and long-standing brands, Howmet Fastening Systems is the premier designer and manufacturer of aerospace and industrial fasteners, latches, bearings, fluid fittings and installation tools. Our products are used nose to tail on commercial and military aircraft, as well as on jet engines, industrial gas turbines, automobiles, commercial transportation vehicles, wind turbines, solar power systems, and construction and industrial equipment.
The key activities outlined below represent an overview only of the above position and should not be seen as a prescriptive list of activities. A flexible and responsive approach to this role is vital, together with the initiative in identifying and focusing on the needs of the business and its customers.
Set Hot and Cold thread rooling machines to produce fasteners to strict tolerances. Have Knowledge of threads and application of rolling them. Participate in & support process development & improvement projects Undertake training on all machines to ensure 100% flexibility in the workplace, and once fully trained to train others Support the documentation of manufacturing processes and development of training manuals Uses gauges and measuring equipment to ensure product meets required specifications Self inspection (Quality) of your personal work and over check of others work Keep all computer files and manual paperwork accurate and up to date at all times Respossible for producing SPC charts and records To actively take part in locally focused, or multi-functional continuous improvement teams Prticipate 5S and housekeeping ensuring it is maintained to the highest standards Work as fully flexible team member within the Company to maximise levels of production and quality To ensure operators are working effectively and efficiently at all times Manage the areas tooling ensuring all tooling requirements are highlighted in a timely manner to ensure tools are available to meet production demands All quality procedures are adhered to, taking an active part in root cause analysis Maximise plant and resource utilisation Adhere to all company EHS requirements and actively participate in the identification and elimination of hazards.-
