Job summary

We are seeking a Case Investigators to lead independent investigations into Employee Relations issues. You will work closely with the Head of HR Services delivering an independent view during investigations, ensuring that they are undertaken with a compassionate, just and restorative focus.

Main duties of the job

You will lead Employee Relations related investigations on behalf of UHBW, including (but not limited to) Disciplinary, Grievance, Bullying and Harassment, and Whistleblowing investigations. This role will be key in embedding a Just Culture approach to employee investigations drawing on the UHBW Respecting Everyone Policy to underpin the delivery of their role. Driving efficiency and innovation by ensuring that investigations are undertaken in a compassionate and succinct manner, you will continuously improve colleague experience through specialist investigation skills and a compassionate leadership style.

Person Specification

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Knowledge of ACAS codes of good practice. Sound experience of undertaking investigations and making recommendations eg. disciplinary, grievance, bullying and harassment case work. Experience of presenting cases at hearing/appeal stages. Knowledge of best practice relating to investigation and questioning skills.

Skills and Abilities

Essential

Demonstrate a range of skills in relation to influencing, negotiation analytical and problem solving.

Qualifications and Training

Essential

Knowledge of specialist HR topics to masters level. This may be acquired via qualification or through equivalent experience managing employee relations issues or other relevant area.
