Job overview

We are looking for a friendly and highly motivated individual to join our Neurosciences Administration Team based at St Marys Hospital as a Neurology Team Secretary.

The successful candidate will be highly efficient and organised with an ability to prioritise and problem solve in a busy NHS working environment.

Communication is key for this role and it will be expected that the post holder can demonstrate an ability to communicate with patients and staff across all disciplines in a timely fashion.

Main duties of the job

·The post holder will provide a comprehensive and highly efficient administration service for Neurosciences, focussing within the Neurology speciality.

·To communicate effectively with patients / carers regarding appointment and treatment related matters.

A levels equivalent qualification or experience Formal Customer Care Training or equivalent experience

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Excellent communication skills. Good keyboard and IT skills Attention to detail

EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria

Prior medical secretary/ PA experience Administrative experience

Desirable criteria

Knowledge of hospital Patient Administration System (PAS)
