Job description

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic teacher looking for a new role? Step Teachers are working with a Primary in Edgware Middlesex that emphasizes critical thinking and independent learning and provides our pupils with the skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary for them to succeed now and into the future., to find a Year 1 Teacher to join their team in September 2024 in a part-time (Long-term ) Supply role. The Year 1 Teacher should be passionate about teaching, and willing to instil that passion in the students.

Year 1 Teacher - Role:

  • Able to deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
  • Maintain a well-organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff throughout the school.
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

Year 1 Teacher - Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Have recent experience as a Year 1 Teacher.
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
