The Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint a temporary full-time Teaching Associate (TA) in Medieval Italian Literature and Culture. The post is fixed term for 12 months to provide temporary cover pending the recruitment of a permanent member of staff. The Faculty commits to providing career development support and mentoring for the successful candidate.

At the undergraduate level, the TA would be required to contribute to teaching (lectures and supervision) and examination in Medieval Italian Literature and Culture, and will make key contributions to some or all of the following co-taught papers: IT1/A3, IT4, IT5, IT7, IT9 (for details see: ).

The TA would be expected to co-ordinate up to two of these papers and, if requested, to make a contribution to language teaching (depending on relevant skills). The post-holder will also, if requested, teach, supervise and examine relevant MPhil modules and dissertations in the field. The TA will contribute to the administration of activities in the Italian Section.

Candidates will have relevant teaching experience, hold a PhD in a relevant field and be able to demonstrate active, collegial engagement in research and administration. Fluent or near-fluent command of Italian and English is essential.
