London Stadium Learning is a unique education provision based in the London Stadium, Olympic Park. We deliver enrichment activities to children and young people in schools, after school, at the weekends and in the holidays. We require a dynamic and enthusiastic person who is passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential. They need to be a team player but also take initiative to develop further learning resources by contributing with fresh ideas and support the teacher to engage with the children and young people in new and stimulating ways. Our projects use the centre’s inspiring location to create incredible learning opportunities for the students who attend. The post holder will be able to learn new skills alongside pupils whilst interacting with organisations in the Park that will also benefit their own development and career pathways. 


As a classroom assistant for extended learning you will be expected to:
• Work as a part of team to deliver activities for individuals and small groups to improve learning skills and confidence including contributing to the development of curriculum resources.
• Support social and emotional development of pupils including supporting the centre teacher to promote good behaviour and reporting Safeguarding or Child Protection issues when required.
• Support the Centre Teacher in setting up and tidying the classroom and resources as necessary.
• Support Centre administration as requested.
• Contribute content to Centre social media and other online platforms as required.
• Act as a positive role model for young people and escort them on trips out accordingly.
• Implement the Centre programme and ethos and positively represent the Centre and Newham Council.
