An exciting, unique and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic individual to join We Are With You as a Recovery Worker as part of our ROADS team.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will: Work as part of a multidisciplinary and collocated team in South Ayrshire that includes a range of staff, peers and volunteers from third sector and statutory services.Will act as the single point of contact, and coordinate care and support requirements for individuals wishing to access long term residential rehabilitation.Work with the ADP on strategic developments including the long term ambition for residential rehabilitation and non-fatal overdose activities, and attendance at relevant ADP meetingsWork collaboratively with a wide range of statutory and third sector partners across the ADP, as well as with internal and external stakeholders, to achieve effective, safe and innovative service provision.

Job responsibilities

Our service in South Ayrshire is looking for a Recovery Worker to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. If you are an enthusiastic and creative individual and are passionate about changing people's lives for the better, we'd love to hear from you. The successful candidate will lead the development of a person-centred continuity of care-based model of long term residential rehabilitation provision for residents of South Ayrshire, in line with the agreed strategic ambition of South Ayrshire Alcohol & Drug Partnership (ADP), and in line with the National Drugs Mission Please note, this is a fixed term contract for 12 months. This role is about:

understanding your clients keeping them safe creating a plan they can achieve with your support checking in with them and reviewing their progress keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them working effectively with other social care providers Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care We are determined and always professional in our approach to each and every case and we never judge, we're just here to help. Qualifications

Essential

have attained SVQ level 3 in Social Services & Healthcare or equivalent already be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or meet the registration requirements have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle You will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced PVG check.

Desirable

We'll give your application priority if you: have previous experience of working with people who misuse substances knowledge of health and safety, including assessing client in high-risk situations
