Part time vacancy hours for 12 months maternity cover.
Exciting opportunities have arisen for band 7 Physiologists who are BHRS (or equivalent) with suitable experience to assist in the planning and delivery of a specialised Cardio Respiratory service to the Trust.
You will be an effective member of the Cardio Respiratory team providing a high standard of Cardiac Physiological Services and excellent patient care.
We are now in our state of the art department encompassing over 20 clinical rooms. Purpose built pacemaker follow up rooms and a 'sterile' LINQ implant room. Being located on the emergency floor, adjacent to our acute cardiac unit and coronary care. The trust treats acutely unwell patients from across the region on our intensive care floor, as well as specialising in enhanced cardiac imaging/ MRI.
Main duties of the job
The Pacing/ Rhythm management team provide:
Daily follow up clinics Remote follow up, A busy Brady implant service Physiologist lead ILR implant service. We are in the process of establishing a Physiologist ILR explant service. Services to an acute A&E department including unwell complex device patients A busy GP open access ECG reporting service, providing complex reports to GPs and other AHPsAs a band 7 you will be a designated line manager to junior staff, completing performance and pay appraisals. There are opportunities to help lead service development as a deputy service lead.

Job responsibilities
Undertakes independently advanced Cardiac investigations and therapy. Undertake direct patient contact physiology procedures Analyse, interpret, and report complex clinical data ( Ambulatory Monitoring) taking necessary departmental procedure when diagnosing an unexpected event liaising/advising with medical staff. To follow up and appropriately manage patients with implantable cardiac devices To document all investigations and or adjustments correctly. To maintain your professional development to be up to date with new device techniques/ advances Assist the implanting consultant in pacemaker implantation, performing initial checks etc To learn the techniques involved in LINQ implantation and explants Lead and supervise within RACPC and ETT areas, including obtaining patient consent. Specialist post graduate experience within clinical cardiology or respiratory undertaking a range of invasive and non-invasive procedures. Responsible for training others. Evidence of CPD/portfolio from a range of cardiology sources
