Job summary

The post holder will be based in the Outpatient Musculoskeletal team at North Manchester General and will be part of a supportive team with an interest in service development and teaching .

The successful candidate will carry an independent caseload of patients with musculoskeletal, hand and wrist and rheumatological problems, and deliver a high standard of evidence-based physiotherapy. There are opportunities to experience running rehabilitation groups , as well as seeing patients in a clinic environment. The team also support the Employee Health and well being MSK service for staff.

Main duties of the job

Delivery of evidence-based physiotherapy management of patients with musculoskeletal/Rheumatological presentations Supervision of less experienced staff, such as rehab assistants and band 5 physiotherapists Clinical mentorship of student physiotherapists Service development projects, such as audit and quality improvement programmes Participate in orthopaedic weekend rota
