Job Description

This exciting role will support Abcam’s Regulatory Compliance Senior Specialist & Department Manager with the authoring and maintenance of product safety data sheets (SDS) and hazard data for inclusion on product labels in accordance with Global Globally Harmonized System, REACH, and any other applicable relevant global chemical regulations. This role will interface closely with Category and Supplier Management Teams and will principally involve SDS updates, authoring new SDS as required and answering queries from global colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

Generate compliant SDS using Abcam’s dedicated SDS authoring application, WERCS Maintaining existing product SDS ensuring any updates to hazards and/or legislation are implemented Support management of the team dedicated inbox, where we receive customer & internal SDS requests & compliance enquiries Carry out routine governance and oversight checks, particularly for antibody, protein, peptides & lysates portfolios General Regulatory Compliance Team support

You will have a strong knowledge in excel & other MS office applications. You will have experience working with large datasets.

You will have excellent attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills to resolve internal & external product data queries in a timely manner. You will have the ability to prioritise and process large amounts of data in a logical and efficient manner, ensuring our customers receive accurate data.

You will be a confident individual and be able to work independently. You will hold yourself and others to high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with global chemical regulations (EU CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging), GHS, REACH) & experience in SDS authoring would be advantageous, but not essential due to basic training being provided, as would any other experience of a previous junior regulatory affairs or product compliance role.

Knowledge of the SDS authoring application WERCS would be advantageous, as would any other experience with this type of application

Qualifications

You will be educated to at least degree level (or equivalent), possess a knowledge of Chemistry, Life Science, or a related field.
