Role Summary

The post holder will provide highly specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to patients and their carers. The specialist area is includes a wide range of acute and chronic cases, some having highly complex presentations.

Lead the clinical speciality providing leadership, development and governance in relation to the clinical area and supporting other clinicians regarding patient treatment and management.

Be part of an interdependent, multidisciplinary team ensuring that therapy input is integrated into the patient’s overall care plan.

Work with the manager to lead and develop the service in line with patient need and trust wide developments and to help provide an equitable service across the Trust.

The Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist will be based in the Ilfracombe Community Rehabilitation Team.

The post holder will fulfil all tasks and work as part of a team. To meet the needs of the service, the post holder may be required to work in other areas as appropriate as directed by the line manager

We are looking to recruit a Band 7 Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist to work within the Ilfracombe Community Rehabilitation Team. You would be based at the Tyrrell & District Hospital in Ilfracombe and work within a catchment area that stretches from Ashford to Exmoor including Braunton, Ilfracombe and Lynton.

You will work alongside other Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Rehabilitation Support Workers within a friendly and supportive team, seeing patients with a variety of acute, long term and palliative conditions within their own homes.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 4-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 4. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 4 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 3-4 pay bandings ().
