GSL Education Lincoln is currently recruiting a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive and inclusive school in Boston, Lincolnshire. We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and compassionate teaching assistant who will provide individualized support to students with special educational needs.

Job Summary: This role requires working with and supporting an identified child with specified academic, physical, emotional/behavioural/medical needs on an individual basis. One has to be a patient and dedicated individual who can adapt to the unique learning styles and needs of each student.

Responsibilities of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure tailored support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Qualifications for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a 1:1 setting.
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and strategies to support them.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young learners.
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
