Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

The Role

To be responsible for building control panels in accordance with BS7671, Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards.

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday.

  • To understand the designs, identify potential issues, size cables and confirm correct components
  • Ensure that all items are built to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans
  • To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment
  • To coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices
  • Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values
  • To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges

Requirements

  • Panel Build experience
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Willingness to learn and undertake occupational and Health and Safety training
  • Numeric and reading skills
  • Prepared to take responsibility for self and others
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to give and take instruction
