**Role: Panel Wirer**
**Location: Kings Norton, Birmingham**
**Hourly rate: up to £12.50PH - £13.50ph**
**Working hours: 07.30 - 16:00**
**Contract: Temporary**
Our client is seeking a **Panel Wirer on** a temp to perm arrangement. The client is now on growth mode and is expanding their panel shop.
As a Panel Wireman you will be required to read electrical schematics (Software - E-Plan) build panels to exact specifications, this includes frames, circuits, power relays, safety switches, cable management. The client uses E-Plan Smart wire. As an effective **Panel Wirer **you must communicate effectively, maintain a clean and hygienic workstation, and always adhere to Health and Safety procedures, test panels before dispatch, pack panels effectively for delivery.
To fit electrical control panels to customer specifications, as directed by the Engineering Manager, in a cost-effective manager, ensuring high quality workmanship, promoting the high standards demanded by the business.
Key Responsibilities of the **Panel Wirer**:
- Correct use and maintain the tools of the trade including cutting tools, power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments
- Install all types of commonly used wiring and wiring accessories
- Locate and report faults in electrical wiring systems
- Identify different types of cables and wires
- Read and interpret electrical specifications, wiring and circuit diagrams and panel diagrams
- Inspect and check electrical wiring systems
- Use safety equipment and protective devices and equipment
- Adhere and promote all aspects of safety as detailed in the Company Staff Handbook and Policies and Procedures.
- Correctly instruct, supervise and transfer skills to apprentices and semi-skilled workers assigned to them to ensure safety and quality of work

- Be able to work in an organised way
- Work well in a team or alone
Minimum Qualifications of the **Panel Wirer**:
Preferred Minimum Entry Qualification
- 2 / 3 years practical work experience as an Electrical Panel Wireman or similar
- 17th/18th Wiring regulations (Ideal)
- BTEC/Apprenticeship/NVQ In Electrical Engineering (Ideal)
