Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Bank Sleep Physiologist with proven clinical competency and education in the set-up, analysis and reporting of PSG, PSG with MSLT and Actigraphy. 

You'll have knowledge of a broad range of basic, complex, and highly complex neurophysiology, lung, and sleep investigations/techniques.

What you'll do

You'll be competent in sleep physiology and able to apply the following to adult and paediatric patients:

Full & Limited Montage Nocturnal Polysomnography (NPSG)

Respiratory Sleep Investigation

Score NPSG's and Respiratory Sleep Investigations to current guidelines

CPAP/NIV Initiation and monitoring

Transcutaneous O/CO monitoring

Actigraphy

You'll also provide a range of specialist service sleep tasks as full polysomnography, PAP therapy, MSLT studies and overnight portable sleep studies and advice and assist patients and families on specific matters where appropriate. And you'll also perform complex sleep studies involving intervention (CPAP trial, Bi-PAP test or split-night studies) and provide technical and sleep study expertise to support nursing staff responsible for the care of the sleep study patient or another ward to ensure the quality of the sleep study.

What you'll bring

BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology, or equivalent formal specialist training.

Eligible for RCCP registration

Knowledge of a broad range of basic, complex and highly complex neurophysiology, lung and sleep investigations/techniques.
