An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated forward thinking highly specialist pharmacist to join us at LUHFT on the royal site working with the Infectious diseases pharmacy team. You will champion antimicrobial stewardship and help to promote best use of anti-infectives and the trust stewardship strategy. You will be involved with managing patients with complex infections, and looking after patients on the infectious diseases wards. Work will also involve looking after our expanding services in HIV and Axess sexual health which may require visits to our peripheral clinics located across Cheshire and Merseyside.
Main duties of the job
Assist the Lead Pharmacist in the development of pharmacy services and medicines management within the directorate.
To provide a safe and effective advanced clinical pharmacy service to the directorate.
Assist the Lead Pharmacist in providing clinical training and supervision, relevant to the directorate, for other departmental staff.
Provide non-medical prescribing services to ourpatients and develop and maintain a large portfolio of PGDs for our Axess sexual health clinics.
Identify the clinical and economic impact of medicines use, develop and implement clinical guidelines, monitor drug expenditure and support the area to meet their clinical and financial targets.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
