Clinical Pharmacist to Specialist Rotational Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in a rotational position, providing pharmaceutical care across various specialties.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career Pharmacist to progress their career and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced Pharmacy Team to develop and implement an efficient and comprehensive pharmaceutical service for patients across several specialties.

The initial banding of the post-holder will depend on past experience, with the opportunity to progress to a Band 7 Specialist Rotational Pharmacist role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide pharmaceutical care while rotating through various specialties, including cardiology, respiratory medicine, cardio-thoracic surgery, and palliative care.
  • Participate in our comprehensive in-house training programme and be mentored by a senior clinical pharmacist at each stage of the rotation.
  • Have the opportunity to study for a clinical pharmacy diploma/MSc, including the Non-Medical Prescribing pathway.
  • Contribute to the development of the pharmacy service and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Person Specification
  • Registered member of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Vocational Masters degree in Pharmacy.
  • Training year in hospital or other experience working in hospital.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic clinical knowledge in a range of topics.
  • Audit or research experience.
