The Role


As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional, social, and academic growth.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, focusing on both academic and personal development.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support students in overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of educators, support staff, and external professionals to provide holistic support to our students.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, implementing interventions and adjustments where necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in SEN education.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching primary-aged children, with a strong understanding of primary education pedagogy.
  • Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
