The Project Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that the project deliverables meet the required quality standards for the project being undertaken along with ensuring alignment to associated standards and customer specifications. The Project Quality Manager will lead and manage a team of multidisciplined Project Quality Engineers supporting both Renewables projects and Oil &Gas / Energy projects, from initiation to close-out.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the Project Quality team ensuring optimal performance and a positive work environment. Fostering a culture of accountability, responsibility, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to foster effective teamwork, communication, and co-ordination. Collaborate with external stakeholders, suppliers and contractors as required.
  • Collate value added information that supports monthly quality reports relating to the company's projects to be submitted to the Commercial and Projects Director.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis, (RCA) investigations into Project Quality deficiencies, through problem and process analysis, identify process improvements and preventive actions to continuously improve performance.
  • Support the closure of project NCR's and communicate with customers and/or third parties as necessary, ensuring close out in-line with internal QMS and customers' requirements.
  • Prepares and checks Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Project Quality Plans (PQP) to support the company's Project activities.
  • Provide inputs to bids relating to the company's Project Quality activities in order to support the winning of order awards.

The candidate will have a demonstrable track record of achievement in a management or supervisory role responsible for Quality in an operational environment. It is essential that the post holder has a working knowledge of ISO 9001 and other standards. To be successful in the role, you will have core skills such as effective risk assessment, warranty investigation, implementation of pro-active problem-solving techniques using 8D methodology or similar.
