The Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT department, part of the Radiology Care Group at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a highly experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist. You will join a friendly and inclusive multidisciplinary team of clinical technologists/ radiographers, clinical scientists, nurses, physicians and clerical staff.
The department is highly specialised and serviced include: a comprehensive range of nuclear medicine including SPECT-CT, PET-CT, non-imaging tests, therapeutic services with inpatient facilities and osteoporosis screening. The department also has commitment to clinical research and development.
Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous practitioner and effectively co-ordinate and deliver an expert nursing service within the specialist area To manage a caseload of patients/clients To ensure that patients and their families are fully informed and supported by providing clinical and social support To lead on the development of evidence based clinical nursing practice in line with current research and guidelines To establish clear lines of communication within the specialty team to ensure cohesive multidisciplinary management of patients To link with healthcare teams in order to increase knowledge and facilitate the care of this group of people in the community.
