Within our Capital Design and Delivery department, we are looking for a PMO Project Planner to support our vitally important PMO team to be based out of our Shelton office.

Are you an experienced Project Planner looking to support critical projects in the water industry?

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW   

Reporting to the Senior PMO planning manager, the project planner will develop, manage, and report on project plans and schedules on behalf of programme and project managers in order to meet the overall requirements of the business. You will adhere to an implement PMO planning policies and procedures, support the provision of resource management and report actual performance and variance against plan and forecast outcomes. You will monitor and audit supplier schedules and ensure suppliers planning processes comply with Severn Trent’s procedures. You will support the change control process by providing analysis of proposals and identifying risks and opportunities, and you will become a key member of the project delivery team.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

You will have relevant experience in the successful scheduling of project and programme plans, and experience in PMO related activities. You will have an excellent working knowledge of Primavera P and Microsoft project, as well as various Microsoft work packages. You will have a significant knowledge and understanding of project and contract management and excellent financial and commercial awareness.

You will have excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people. You will be a forward-thinking innovator, capable of anticipating challenges and responding to change in a rapidly evolving environment. You will be able to make educated judgments and decisions in the face of ambiguity, and have a good grasp of the bigger picture, seeking opportunities to contribute to the wider agenda.
