About Us Richmond and Wandsworth Councils have an exciting opportunity to join the Commissioning team in the Adult Social Care and Public Health Directorate.We are seeking a highly motivated, solution focused and tenacious individual for the following role:  Commissioning Manager – Learning Disabilities  This position is well suited to an innovative and motivated individual who is passionate about improving the opportunities and lives of vulnerable adults. At the heart of our work is promoting independence, choice, health and wellbeing of the local populations through strengths-based approaches. In the role you will manage commissioning projects, through their life cycle. Ensuring that they maintain connected to the Commissioning Cycle of Analyse, Plan, Do and Review. These projects will include co-producing with residents the development of services, procurement of new contracts and maintenance of provider and wider stakeholder partnerships.You will support the co design of innovative new service models and shaping of the local provider market in a way that promotes the aspirations and ambitions of people with Learning Disabilities.You will be tenacious and creative in working with local providers to ensure high quality and effective services are delivered that demonstrate value for money.You will be willing to engage in resolving complex problems with a range of providers and embrace change well as a necessity. The role requires the individual to be highly organised, able to manage multiple strands of work within deadlines and enjoy being involved in a variety of activities and projects.You will have an interest and experience of supporting people with learning disability/ autism and the governments agenda in relation to these areas. You will be highly motivated, creative, and persistent in seeking solutions.
