An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Parkview Surgery Reception Team. We are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic receptionist to join our team.
Previous NHS experience would be an advantage but not necessary.
Previous applicants need not apply.

Main duties of the job
Duties:
Ensure that all reception duties and tasks are carried out in an effective, efficient and professional manner in line with the practices guidelines, procedures and protocols Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the practice Undertake general office and reception duties including front desk, telephone and email. Liaise with outside agencies Support colleagues and be a team player Respect confidentiality and data protection rules Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way Excellent customer service skills Multitasking Prioritizing Organisation IT skills ( Word, Excel, Outlook) Efficiency and professionalism Initiative and problem-solving Reliable Attention to detail Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
About us
We are looking for a highly motivated Receptionist with good interpersonal and communication skills to join our busy and friendly team with a patient population of around 7,300 patients.
We are a forward-looking practice which offers high quality care. We are also a SystmOne practice.

Job description
Job responsibilities
You will be responsible for the general administrative duties within the Practice and work with our established processes, policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service and deal efficiently and courteously with patient enquiries.You will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate and friendly nature who can operate in a busy environment with a range of people and professions, as you will be working with our clinical and administration teams.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised and an effective communicator who can provide a professional and warm welcome to our patients, ensuring every contact is of the highest quality.IT skills are essential, as you will be regularly creating searches, data input and monitoring our achievements and progress against national, local, and internal targets.
You will be responsible for providing a full administrative service.
