Job Title:  Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Physical Education (PE)

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Pay rate: £80 - £100

Start date: ASAP

The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality PE lessons and activities that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Work closely with teachers to integrate physical education into the broader curriculum, promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
  • Lead extracurricular sports and fitness activities, encouraging student participation and fostering school spirit.
  • Support the development of individual students by providing tailored guidance and encouragement.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Promote positive behaviour, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status with a specialization in Physical Education.
  • A genuine passion for promoting physical fitness and well-being among young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and the ability to design and implement engaging PE lessons and activities.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or working with children in an educational setting.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning.
