Main duties of the job

As the Deputy Associate Director of Risk and Assurance, you will play a pivotal role in our commitment to deliver 'Excellent care with compassion.'

Youwill provide operational leadership, ensuring the highest standards in our Governance, Risk and Assurance programmes.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Risk and Assurance and with regular interaction with the Executive Team and wider Board, you will be accountable for the delivery of key programmes such as the Trust's Risk Management Strategy and oversight of external visits, inspections and accreditations; in particular, supporting the end to end processes for regulatory inspections. You will deputise for the Associate Director of Risk and Assurance.

Your Impact:

Strategic Leadership: Shape the future of risk management and assurance processes supporting the Associate Director of Risk and Assurance, providing expert advice to the Executive Team, and wider board as required Quality Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, working closely with the Associate Director of Safety and Learning, Deputy Chief Nursing Officer, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, and Company Secretary. Governance Excellence: Ensure robust, progressive, and proactive governance across all Trust activities.

Job responsibilities

Proven Experience: Demonstrable success in delivering improvements in governance within healthcare/public sector organisations, andexperience at a senior level in a complex, highly regulated environment.

Strategic Vision: Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, with a track record of managing complex work/change management programs.

Expertise in Governance: Experience in governance systems, with deep knowledge of risk and assurance.

Regulatory Acumen: Experience working with independent regulators and managing legal services.

Innovative Approach: Research and development of systems to support compliance and regulation, driving continuous quality improvement.
