Support Assistant / Classroom Support Worker - SP1

In this role, you’ll collaborate with educators to facilitate a range of enriching activities both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring every child can thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensure the safeguarding of all CYP by adhering to safeguarding policies and reporting any concerns
  • Provide simple medical aid and personal care as needed
  • Supervise and support CYP during mealtimes and other activities
  • Assist in the delivery of educational and developmental activities
  • Work with teachers and teaching assistants to observe, monitor, and report on the progress of CYP
  • Prepare resources and help organize the learning environment
  • Record evidence of learner progress and achievements
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by the teaching or senior leadership team

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills
  • Positive attitude towards training and continuous professional development
  • Experience working in a team and following instructions
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with CYP, particularly those with SEND
