Purpose of the position

We are looking for an experienced Fitter to join our team at Hiab. The role Fitter is a temporary position that is responsible for assembly and installation of hiab products within our workshop.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Responsible for installations of our multilift hookloader Responsible for the skip loader equipment based at our installations workshop at HIAB Responsible to undertake the installation of Hiab loader cranes

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

A recognised engineering apprenticeship or similar qualification

Experience:

Demonstrable technical experience in a similar installation role Experience of working with the relevant mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems Ideally experience with working on loader cranes, hook loaders and skip loaders

Competence and skills required

Have experience working in a busy workshop environment Ability to read and work from technical drawings Use of both hand and power tools To be able to work with/without supervision or part of a team Organised, possess good problem-solving skills and initiative The ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines Keen eye for detail and maintain high standards Punctual & good time management skills Basic use of IT Adhere to Hiab h&s culture complying with all safe working practices
