Our client is a high growth recycling company with ambitious plans to create a circular economy for tyres. They use innovative technology to extract all raw material from a used tyre. These raw materials are sold to manufacturers to create new products.Providing a sustainable solution for businesses and are expanding our services across the UK.

We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical/Electrical Fitter at our Ellesmere Port facility. You will contribute to the smooth running of the operations and report into the Mechanical Engineer.

You will work days on a 12 hour, 4 on 4 off shift pattern. We are looking for someone who is has a strong work ethic with an ambition to take on challenges and progress their career.

What you’ll do
- Championing health and safety by making sure all necessary PPE is worn and SSOWs are followed
- Ensure work is completed in a safe and timely manner and recorded accordingly
- Carry out PPM maintenance and record all details of inspections
- Carry out routine checks in the workshop area to make sure all tools are organised and maintained accordingly and kept in good condition
- Plan, rig, sling, and act as banksman for simple lifting operations
- Ensuring work areas are kept clear at all times and that unused or waste material is returned or disposed of properly
- Assist with ad hoc projects as required What you’ll need
- Previous experience with maintaining heavy-duty machinery is essential
- Team player who is dedicated with excellent time keeping skills
- Understanding of electrical systems
- Fabrication experience is desirable
