Faculty Director of Operations

About the Role
Supporting the Vice Principal (VP) and Deputy Vice Principal (DVP) in all aspects of the Faculty’s strategic and functional development, the Faculty Director of Operations (FDO) manages a complex operational structure through a combination of direct and matrix management. They play a key role in driving cultural and organisational change. Acting as a key relationship manager, they bring together colleagues to enable exceptional service delivery to students, academic colleagues and external stakeholders.
About You
The FDO should demonstrate leadership experiences in a large organisation, having managed multi-disciplinary functions, experienced in financial management for a complex organisation, developed strategy, policy and business plans, led change management and culture change, and experienced in supporting committees or groups at a very senior level.
About Faculty of Science & Engineering

Altogether there are over 14,000 students and 1500 staff across the Faculty, with many inter-departmental links. We deliver education to over 5,000 students in China, operating a “flying faculty” model.
