As the Finance Business Partner at DHU Health Care CIC, you will be responsible for supporting allocated divisions and services by delivering the Finance & Commercial Strategy. Your role will involve providing timely and robust financial information to ensure informed decision-making and value-for-money services.

You will work closely with stakeholders to establish and maintain a robust budget, forecasts, and management accounts, while also producing ad hoc analyses to support projects, organisational changes, and new tenders.

This role is more than about managing finances its about driving strategic financial insights to enhance organizational performance and efficiency. Main duties of the job

What your typical day looks like:

Production of annual budget in conjunction with stakeholders Production of meaningful monthly management accounts Supporting delivery of and reporting of Marginal Enhancements Programmes (MEP) and working with services to identify financial opportunities. Identifying and quantifying financial risks and mitigating actions Consolidating accounts and producing different cuts Producing trend analysis, variance analysis and bridge statements Mentoring Assistant Accountant Deputising for Head of Finance Working as part of the Finance Business Partner team and wider Finance team to ensure effective, streamlined financial processes, system and reporting.

Job responsibilities

What your typical day looks like:

Supporting the production of budget and forecasts with assumptions documented and accompanying analysis. Production of monthly management accounts & supporting Business Partners including: Accruals & prepayments Preparing month end journals Producing variance analysis Producing MEP monitoring Supporting risk reporting Undertaking project cost / benefit analysis and monitoring ongoing costs. Business partnering with operational and service teams. Supporting costings and analysis for new contract tenders and contract meetings. Supporting quarterly NHS England and other returns. Value for money analysis and seeking opportunities to implement Activity Based Management (ABM). Supporting implementation of new financial or budget & forecasting systems. Supporting internal and external audits. Continuous improvement and ad hoc analysis. Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

To be a successful Finance Business Partner youll need: Qualified accountant CIMA, ACCA or equivalent Wide range of management accounting experience including: Producing budgets and forecasts Producing regular management accounts Applying investment appraisal and decision-making tools to projects Experience producing financial analysis such as trends, variance analysis, scenario planning, linking activity and performance to financial information. Efficiency programmes Presenting financial information to stakeholders Up to date knowledge of finance reporting policies, tools and requirements Excellent communication skills both verbal & written with a credible, professional approach. Proactive by nature and highly organised with a strong attention to detail. Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and be process-driven with the ability to foresee potential issues and provide reasonable solutions. Management or mentoring of junior staff. Right to work in the UK
