If you are an experienced Support Worker with shift lead / supervisory experience or an existing Team Leader looking to develop a career in the homelessness sector, then Evolve is the place for you.

At Evolve, we recognise the importance of creating a foundation for parents and their children and our young unaccompanied asylum seekers ensuring that they are provided with support on their path to independent living. 

Our young parents service at Stockwell supports young people, helping them to maintain their health during pregnancy, prepare for birth and develop childcare and positive parenting skills. The service has self-contained flats, each with it’s own bathroom, kitchen and living area. The service team also support a number of unaccompanied asylum seekrs. 

The Stockwell site is a large one, with an independent nursery and fitness club using our facilities. This role also has responsibility for a small independent living facility in Croydon. 

What will your responsibilities be as Team Leader 

You will have full responsibility for managing colleagues as well as your own designated customer caseload, which tends to be those with more complex needs. 

You will act as a general point of contact for day-to-day support queries for colleagues on shift and you will be expected to support the Team Manager in the overall day-to-day management of the service and deputise in their absence. 

The service has a team of 12 colleagues which includes two night support workers, and you will be trained to recruit, manage and lead colleagues to ensure they realise their full potential in their roles.This will include managing induction and probation procedures effectively, conducting one to ones, coaching, identifying and taking action on training and development needs as appropriate.
