About the Role:

Ferrero is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a role that encompasses comprehensive responsibility for Commercial Food Safety & Quality across the UK. In this key position, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and ensuring adherence to Ferrero’s Commercial Food Safety & Quality standards throughout the supply chain, at point-of-sale locations, and within our contact centers. Your duties will include conducting extensive training to ensure compliance across all relevant areas, maintaining our commitment to product freshness, effectively managing customer complaints, and continuously monitoring and improving quality performance. Additionally, you will manage external expert panels and act as the primary Account Manager for external consumer service agencies. This pivotal role ensures that Ferrero’s renowned high standards are upheld, surpassing both customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

In this role, your mission will begin at the very heart of our operation, where you'll work alongside the RFSQM to innovate and refine quality detection methodologies right at the sales points. Your focus will be on maintaining the utmost freshness and enhancing the perceived quality of our products, making every Ferrero experience delightful.

Your journey will take you through the coordination of corporate audits and leading CAPA management, where your leadership will guide your team in promoting cutting-edge sensory evaluation strategies. With your expertise, you will cultivate and nurture the local Quality and Food Safety (QFS) culture within the Business Unit (BU), ensuring that Commercial Quality KPIs are not just met but exceeded.

As you traverse through your Ferrero career, you will lead investigations into quality deviations in trade, manage intricate communications with clients and retailers, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions from our industrial sites. Your vigilant oversight will ensure adherence to Ferrero’s esteemed policies through activities like operating the Freshness Panel, collaborating seamlessly with Marketing and Logistics to elevate product quality and freshness.

Your narrative extends into the realm of Supply Chain Quality, where you will monitor and analyze trends to spearhead improvement initiatives related to Supply Chain Freshness. Your leadership in continuous improvement projects will focus on refining freshness and rectifying quality deviations, supporting root cause analyses from industrial sites, and overseeing mock recalls and CAPA executions.

In your broader role, you will champion quality across the BU, supporting quality-related matters in projects, acquisitions, and the implementation of new policies or procedures, all while ensuring operational excellence and compliance. As the guardian of the local Commercial Quality System, you will lead internal audits within the region, aligning practices with global quality standards.

Education is also part of your arsenal; you will lead quality training sessions, ensuring all team members are fluent in the latest quality protocols and procedures. Additionally, your strategic insights will be crucial as you generate ad hoc reports, providing the BU with critical updates on various quality matters.

Finally, your versatility will shine as you act as a backup for the CCC and Commercial Supply Chain Quality Managers, overseeing third-party relationships, managing budgets, and coordinating service issues to maintain service quality and efficiency. Manage personnel, ensuring adherence to Group values, motivation, diversity & inclusion, competence development, and empowerment. You will recruit, manage, motivate, coach, and develop the team, ensuring professional growth and proposing development initiatives.
