The Role

Thornton Tomasetti’s London office is seeking talented and enthusiastic engineers with 4 to 7 years of experience to work a structural consultancy practice currently delivering major projects (including commercial, residential, cultural and sports) in the City of London, mainland Europe and the Middle East. Candidates should be recently Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status through either the ICE or IStructE routes.We are pleased to be able to offer flexible working along with a competitive remuneration package.For the right candidate, the role offers exciting opportunities to grow and develop their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.


Responsibilities

Structural analysis, design and detailing for all types of buildings and materials using a variety of building codes.

Some supervision and management of other engineers and BIM technicians.

Coordination of design work with in-house staff across multiple offices, as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines.

Communicate with clients and other design professionals to understand project requirements.

Role may involve some travel within the UK and abroad.


Requirements

Degree (Master’s or equivalent preferred) in structural engineering or related field.

Strong technical skills.

Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and graphical / sketches.

Working knowledge preferred of current industry software, such as SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper and Microsoft Office.

4-7 years of experience.
