Our client is a lovely young lady who sustained a traumatic brain injury following a road traffic accident. Due to this she is now unable to use her left arm and has weakness in her left leg. She uses a wheelchair but can walk short distances.
She lives independently in a bungalow which has been adapted to meet her needs and you will support her at home with personal care, moving and handling, medication administration and with daily living. She also has many interests and likes to take part in activities which include going to the gym, horse-riding, cooking and visiting her family. You will support her to enjoy life to the full and will need to have previous care experience and an understanding of brain injury.
You will need to drive our clients vehicle for this role so you should have a full, clean, UK driving licence.

Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:
- An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
- You must be a driver with a full, clean, UK driving licence
- You must have previous care experience and an understanding of brain injury
- This post is exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1 - there is a genuine occupational requirement to recruit a female personal assistant only
- Prepared to commit to long term care for one client in a 'person-centred' way
- Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
