Salary:£1400 to £1600 PerHour

Ascott’smarkets include producing equipment for automotive aerospace andSurface Coatings Industries as well as educational/research generalmanufacturing and militaryapplications.
Weare looking for an experienced professional and confidentindividual to produce mechanical models and 2d drawings. Theemployee is to work under the directions of the Senior TechnicalManager and Mechanical Engineer creating drawings schematicslayouts and models for production Sales purposes anddevelopment.

JobObjectives

Wiringand assembly of Ascott machinery including Control panel wiring andmechanicalassembly/fitting.

KeyAreas of Responsibility:

Toundertake the assembly and manufacture of Ascott parts &assemblies to the point where they are complete machines and readyfortest.
Tasksto beundertaken:
  • ControlPanel Assembly andWiring.
  • Mechanicalfitting and assembly of parts subassemblies and finishedmachine
  • PlasticPartsmanufacture
  • Finishingand Packaging of finishedmachines
  • Wiringofchamber
  • Testingof chamber using instructionsprovided.
  • Selfinspectionof finished items using laid downmethodology.
  • Improveassembly methods and practices to reduce costs and minimisewaste.
  • Ensurequality work produced to minimisenonconformities.
  • Ensureprovided Work Instructions and methods are adhered to theletter.
  • Ensuretidiness cleanliness and standards of‘housekeeping’ in own work area and throughouttheworkshop.
  • Trainingof other employees asrequired.
  • Pickingand packing of SparesOrders.
  • Anysupportive task for production that the employee is capableof.

RequiredSkills/Qualifications:
  • Competencein undertaking general electro mechanical assembly or finishingoperations.
  • Competencein wiring control panel installations in accordance with bestpracticestandards.
  • Competencein pneumatic installations in accordance with best practicestandards (but training can be given in thisarea).
  • Competentmechanical fittingskills.
  • Asdefined by any future skills matrix that is both reasonable andachievable.
  • Forktruck Licence would be an advantage but not necessary.
  • Manualhandling ability will berequired.
