Role Overview:

As a KS2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students in Year 3. You will play a crucial role in fostering a love for learning, encouraging curiosity, and helping students develop essential skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging and interactive lessons that captivate students' interest and enthusiasm for learning. For example, incorporate hands-on activities, group projects, and technology to make lessons come alive.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. This might include using multimedia resources, storytelling, and real-world examples to make complex concepts accessible and engaging.
  • Plan and implement a comprehensive and dynamic KS2 curriculum that meets educational standards and addresses the diverse needs of students. Design lessons that challenge students to think critically and creatively.
  • Regularly assess student progress through creative assessments such as quizzes, projects, and presentations. Provide constructive feedback to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Encourage students to ask questions, explore new ideas, and develop problem-solving skills. For example, use open-ended questions and collaborative activities to promote deeper understanding.
  • Participate in and lead extracurricular activities that enhance students' learning experiences. This could include clubs, field trips, and school events that align with the curriculum and spark students' interests.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching KS2 students.
  • Proven experience in creating engaging and effective lesson plans.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Competence in using technology to enhance learning and administrative tasks.
