About thedepartment

We are looking for an TechnicalSupport Engineer to join our team based in BYD UK Office HounslowLondon area. The Technical Support Engineeris responsible forproviding technical support to Aftersales Operations Teamincludingbuilding the bestinclass regional technical capability standard andhigh efficiency technicaloperation.

Your keyresponsibilities willbe:

  • Provide technicalsupport to Aftersales Operations Team (AOT) for new offers whenrequired by the AOT. Along with AOT he/she may be involved directlyin discussion and meetings with customers including in personvisits to answer their enquiries understand their technicalquestion assess their needs and suggest or promote alternativeproducts or services;
  • In coordination withR&D and Engineering. undertakes research adapt establishedprocedures and develop new solutions to solve technical problemsthrough case management technical meetings and followup on thestatus of outstanding cases;
  • Support the teamof Field Service technicians during their onsiteactivities;
  • Define solutions and actions tosolve customers technical claim and support the service teams inhigh complexity claims root cause analysis andtroubleshooting;
  • Coach less experienced COTengineers to help them respond to customer accurately andpromptly.

Yourprofile:

  • Degreein HGV/PSV Mechanical Energy Engineering orsimilar;
  • Two years of previous experience insimilar position preferably in the bus industry.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of generalelectrical/mechanical principles are highly appreciated as well asprevious experience in R&D department in order tounderstand the technical problem and develop solution to solveit;
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Englishis essential;
  • Problem analysis and solvingattitude;
  • Time consciousness and right sense ofurgency;
  • Good communication and interpersonalskills;
  • Open mind and flexibility in facingunexpected and/or challengingsituations;
  • Ability to report problems in aclear documented and logical way;
  • Self controland discipline.
