“You can be yourself here. The company values character and willingness to learn over prior knowledge. They provide all the training you need, and your progress is entirely up to you.”
“From day one, the collaborative and supportive culture at Clays has been clear. The onboarding process and continuous training show a real commitment to employee development.”
“Mistakes are stepping stones here, and no one is frowned upon for making them. We learn from each other, which is unique in a workplace.”
CLAYS VALUES

That’s why we’re dedicated to creating an inclusive culture. Different perspectives spark creativity and drive innovation. So, if you're passionate about making a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you
And of course, we’re looking for someone who embodies our Clays values. That’s why we’ve framed them as key questions that guide everything we do:
SAFE - Is it safe? For our team, our guests, the business, and our partners.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE - Are we delivering an amazing experience? We bring fun, thrill, wonder, and joy, aiming to surprise, delight, and exceed expectations.
LASTING - Is it lasting? We strive to make a positive, sustainable impact on our world, our team, our guests, and our industry. We aim to create strong impressions and lasting memories, constantly evolving to offer something new.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
What's the Gig, you ask?
This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a brand-new opening and play a key role in bringing a new and exciting experience to Birmingham Our Events Lead is the glue between operations and our support office, working alongside senior management to produce events, and with our sales team to represent Clays to clients. Our Events Lead will report to the Head of Events and will oversee event bookings for the venue, DJ programming and other adhoc tasks and projects throughout the year.
Working closely with our venue operations teams and being onsite to support our sales team, you'll ensure that every event at Clays is executed flawlessly. Our ideal candidate brings at least three years of experience in event management, with a proven track record of handling end-to-end event processes both in venue and offsite, from site visits, proposal and budget management to onsite execution and supplier coordination. But it's not just about the experience—our Events Lead needs to hit the ground running, fostering strong relationships with our Clayers (that's us) and our new Birmingham clients.
Beyond operational prowess, we're looking for someone with strong presentation skills and the confidence to lead and coordinate large groups or VIPs. If you're passionate about creating memorable experiences, and dedicated to operational excellence, we want you on our team
