Role Overview:
As a Maths Teacher, you will plan and deliver dynamic lessons that captivate and challenge students, ensuring they make excellent progress. Your expertise in Mathematics will help students grasp complex concepts, fostering a supportive and positive learning environment for each student to succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to secondary school students.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs and foster a growth mindset.
  • Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages students’ enthusiasm for Maths.
  • Monitor student progress, assess work, and provide constructive feedback to aid development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and strategies for enhancing student outcomes.
  • Uphold school policies and ensure a positive, respectful classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK with a specialism in Mathematics.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning space.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
