A Maths Teacher is required for a Newcastle based Alternative Provision. This Maths Teacher role will be on a temporary basis potentially starting on Monday or Tuesday next week. This will be a short-term placement most likely for 2-3 months until a new full time post holder is found and will be Monday to Friday full time. The school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers.
There will be three cohorts of children to teach within the role teaching across key stages 3,4 and 5.
The students to be taught will have struggled to cope with main stream school for a variety of reasons so any experience of working in an AP provision would be an advantage. Students follow a reduced curriculum on a reduced school day.
The ideal Maths Teacher candidate would:
* Have good classroom management skills
* Have experience of teaching in Alternative Provisions
* Have a passion for teaching Maths
* Have excellent subject knowledge
* Be able to organise themselves
* Be able to plan effective, engaging Maths lessons.
We are keen to hear from both experienced teachers or ECTs.
