About the Role
We are looking for an engaging and dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator with a passion for business, economics, and entrepreneurship to inspire students and prepare them for real-world careers. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons that build students’ understanding of business concepts, finance, and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching: Deliver Business Studies lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5, preparing them for exams and real-world application.
  • Lesson Planning: Develop creative lesson plans that cover a range of business topics, from marketing to finance, and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Assessment & Progress Tracking: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and keep up-to-date records in line with school policies.
  • Curriculum Development: Work collaboratively with the department to refine and enhance the Business Studies curriculum, incorporating current events and case studies.
  • Engagement: Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports students' personal and academic growth.

About You
We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related discipline. Experience teaching Business Studies at KS4 and KS5 is highly desirable, and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject is essential. The ideal candidate will be skilled in making business theory relevant and exciting, helping students connect classroom concepts to the wider business world.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: QTS or equivalent, with a degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related field
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching Business Studies at KS4, with KS5 experience advantageous
  • Skills: Strong organisational abilities, classroom management, and a knack for engaging students in practical, real-world applications of business concepts
  • Commitment: Dedication to supporting students' success and contributing to the development of a forward-thinking department
