Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for a full time Therapy Assistant to work within our inpatient NHS service. The role will involve working alongside the therapists to deliver the therapeutic timetable on the NHS ward within the Priory Hospital North London. The successful candidate will play an active role in working with the therapists to design deliver group therapies that cover a range of topics including sleep hygiene, behavioural activation for depression, to DBT informed skills training groups to support clients with a range of self-harming behaviours. The successful candidate will also support our activities co-ordinator with planning and facilitating therapeutic activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to experience a number of therapeutic modalities and will have opportunities to support therapists with 1:1 interventions where appropriate (Exposure and Response Prevention interventions, role-plays for clients with Social Anxiety etc)

Essential skills
Foundational understanding of CBT 
Strong verbal and written skills
Good personal organisational skills 
Ability to work in a high intensity/risk environment
Positive and friendly attitude, team player
